In my ezine, the Friday Mind Massage, http://MayaFrost.com/ezine.htm
I've got a sort of running thread about toilet paper. You see, I started a worldwide group called The Mindful Pranksters Club http://mindfulprankstersclub.com
and the purpose is to commit kind, playful, inspiring, anonymous acts in order to celebrate the wonders all around us. I shared the story of my friend Suzy, who always folds the tips of the last sheet of toilet paper in public restrooms into a point like they do in hotels. It's just her way of doing something a little silly but fun and unexpected for the next stall guest.
Then I wrote about Jude here in Buenos Aires, who parlayed 12 sheets of toilet paper taken from the loo at the Francis Ford Coppola house during a recent Creativity Lab and auctioned it off on eBay in order to raise $150--the price of one cleft palate surgery for a child here in Argentina. (Learn more about Jude's wonderful organization at http://www.aestheticargentina.com )
And now the toilet paper idea has captured the imagination of a number of Mindful Pranksters around the world. (See the map at http://www.MayaFrost.com/MP-locations.htm )
Anyway, the point(!) is that people are playing with toilet paper in creative ways. I mean, it takes only a few seconds to fold a point, and if you, um, happen to have a bit more time, you can choose the advanced option above.
Anyway, if you happen to go into a not-so-luxurious restroom here in BA, I hope you'll take the opportunity to be a bit of a Mindful Prankster yourself and play with the toilet paper in order to brighten someone's day.

Maya, I love the idea of making the world, including bathrooms, a prettier place, but the non-luxurious bathrooms I frequent here in BsAs usually don't have toilet paper. Should I fold a Kleenex into a butterfly instead? (A clean one, mind you.)
Exactly! And I think that might qualify you for the Mindful Saints Club. ;-) What an act of kindness!
Maya, I recently discovered your blog and I like it very much. I live in Montevideo, "del otro lado del charco". :)
I wrote about your blog, and one of the recommendations you have in your sidebar. I hope you like it! :)

Cherie's idea is really admirable, as is the original toilet paper idea. I've also talked about that.
Anyway, I've subscribed to your RSS feed, so I guess you'll often see me here, with my silly comments. :)
Saludos, y hasta pronto!
This is great info to know.
