I'm very excited about our Sexy Spanish Club feast coming up next Tuesday, December 5th.
We wanted to gather in an intimate setting and have some exquisite food to go along with our scintillating conversation.
So, of course we connected with Dan Perlman.
Dan is an American chef who runs a very successful--talk of the town!--restaurant right in his home in a lovely neighborhood here in Buenos Aires. A couple of times a week, he opens his doors and serves up a themed dinner for up to a dozen lucky guests who share a communal table.
He offers fabulous food and fun opportunities to learn among new friends. For example, this Friday's dinner is in honor of the 100th anniversary of the opening of the world's first cinema---in Paris. The menu? An interpretation of the tempting delicacies featured in Babette's Feast...
I asked Dan to come up with a "sexy" feast just for us. The menu is top secret, but here's what Dan had to say about what inspired him:
"Well, for me, sexy food is alot about the textures and the way they interplay with each other and on the tongue - but also flavors that surprise - unexpected combinations or ingredients - things that aren't quite what they seem..."
Ooh, my mouth is watering already.
